Kayla Loch

Office Manager

Kayla is the office manager at Lyons Eye and has worked closely with Dr. Lyons since 2014. Kayla’s positive attitude encourages others to work hard and succeed. An Oregon native, she graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in public health and is passionate about promoting a healthy future for all. 

In her spare time, Kayla loves exploring nature and traveling with her husband and dog. With absolutely no offense toward her dog, she admits she is a true cat lady at heart.

Sonja Stahl

Patient Service Representative

Sonja is a familiar face and friendly voice at Lyons Eye! She has been in ophthalmology and working with Dr. Lyons since 2002. As patient service representative, she is the first person you encounter during your experience with the clinic. What has kept her going in the field for all these years is her love for the patients and making them feel at ease and as comfortable as possible during their visit.

Sonja is originally from Gresham and currently lives in the area with her husband, while her three grown children and two grandchildren are not far away.

Parker Vaughan

Optician

Parker started his optical journey in 2018. “I love helping people find the right pair of glasses that works for them and making them feel comfortable in it,” he says.

Born and raised in the Portland area, Parker currently resides in Gresham with his daughter.

Kim Lee

Ophthalmic Technician, COT

Kim Lee is the lead technician at Lyons Eye in both Portland and Seaside. She has been in the field for more than 25 years as a graduate of PCC’s Ophthalmic Medical Technology program. She has worked with Dr. Lyons since she entered into private practice more than 20 years ago.

Kim is a native Oregonian and lives in the area with her husband and son, who attends college in Eugene.

Rinn Averill

Medical Scribe

Please help us welcome Rinn to Lyons Eye as our new scribe.  She is new to this field, and excited to learn everything she can to make sure your visit runs smoothly. She’ll often accompany Dr. Lyons during appointments to make medical notes, so Dr. Lyons can focus on giving each patient excellent care. 

Rinn hails from Kansas, moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2022. She currently resides in Portland with her partner, cat and chinchilla.
